Beginning in August, teachers at enrolled schools will have access to spelling and vocabulary materials for the 2020-2021 school year, including suggestions and guidelines for conducting the spelling bee program in a remote environment.

The 2021 Scripps National Spelling Bee Finals will be held July 8th, 2021 at ESPN Wide World of Sports at Walt Disney World Resort in Orlando, Florida. Due to the global pandemic, Scripps will hold preliminary, quarterfinal, and semifinal rounds virtually, with only the top 10-12 spellers moving on to the finals in Florida.

Parents should contact their child’s school to determine who the school or district “key” contact is to request a copy of the student study list. Parents can purchase an eBook version of the Words of the Champions booklet through Amazon.
