What is the GED?
GED stands for the General Educational Development Test. The GED Test provides a basis for conferring a high school equivalency diploma on adults who have not graduated from high school.

You can check on our web site calendar for upcoming GED Testing dates. Plese call our office to see which dates are available. Effective July 1, 2009 the fee for the full battery of GED Tests is $50.00.
INSTRUCTIONS FOR GED APPLICANT
1. An individual is elibigle to take the GED Test given if they meet the guidelines below: a. They are 17 years of age of older b. They are not a high school graduate or a GED graduate and c. They have maintained residence in the State of Illinois for thirty days NOTE: If an individual is of school age and has been enrolled in a public, private, or a home school setting in the last 12 months, they must present a withdrawal letter from the last school enrolled before taking the GED Test.
